Job Description

Algoma Chrysler is looking for an organized and professional Administrative Assistant to join our team at the Spragge location. As a key member of our "Algoma Chrysler Family," you will be the first point of contact for our customers and the glue that holds our sales, service, and parts departments together. The ideal candidate is a multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced automotive environment and is committed to providing the high level of excellence our North Shore clients expect.

Hours 

Monday - Friday,  8:30 am - 5:00 pm 

Responsibilities 

  • Customer Experience & Follow-up:
    • Greet showroom visitors warmly and direct them to the appropriate department.
    • Conduct daily outbound follow-up calls to service customers to ensure their recent visit met expectations.
    • Administer brief phone surveys to gather feedback, document customer concerns, and help the dealership maintain top-tier satisfaction ratings.
  • Professional Communication:
    • Manage a multi-line phone system with professional etiquette.
    • Act as a liaison between the Spragge location and sister branches in Elliot Lake and McKerrow to ensure smooth internal operations.
  • Inventory Management: 
    • Update vehicle inventory lists and assist in maintaining organized records for both new and pre-owned vehicle arrivals.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Coordinate schedules for the management team.
    • Order office and showroom supplies to ensure the team has what they need to succeed.
    • Handle incoming/outgoing mail and facilitate documentation for dealer trades.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma in office administration or business is considered an asset.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to learn dealership-specific management software (DMS).
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Interpersonal: A friendly, "team-player" attitude with the ability to remain calm under pressure during busy dealership hours.
  • Reliability: Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail (essential for handling vehicle registration and sensitive financial data).
  • Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the Spragge location.

Experience 

  • Administrative: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in an administrative or clerical role.
  • Industry Knowledge: Previous experience working in an automotive dealership or a service-related industry is preferred but not required.
  • Customer Service: Proven track record of handling high-volume customer inquiries and multitasking effectively.
